I’m a gentle, passionate human being who feels the world deeply. I love silence, but I also love the kind of conversations that stretch across hours: history, geopolitics, human struggle, the architecture of power. I’m fascinated by how societies rise, fall, and dream.

Cinema is my sanctuary. Nordic noir is my obsession, Wallander my all‑time favorite, and The Godfather my cinematic religion. I adore sports, especially football, and even though hockey isn’t my game, Montréal’s love for the Canadiens is infectious.

Life hasn’t always been easy. A knee injury kept me still for years, but I’m rebuilding: slowly, intentionally, through good food, the gym, and self‑care. I’m proud to be 13 years free of smoking and to have never touched alcohol.

I care about people, truly. Inequality angers me, suffering moves me, and I try to offer whatever kindness I can, even if it’s just a smile. I crave human touch, real connection, and friendships that feel earned and meaningful.

Cooking is one of the ways I express that care. I love working with meat and rice: biryanis of many kinds, Middle Eastern kabsa and mandi, Central Asian plov. My baklava can hold its own against the Lebanese masters, and my hummus never needs a store‑bought comparison. I cook to feed people, no occasion required. I drive to Ottawa and back just to share food with friends, because feeding others feels like a small, personal way of loving the world. And myself.

Leonard Cohen’s words have shaped me, so living in Montréal feels like living inside a poem. I’m a tech enthusiast, a problem‑solver, a do‑gooder, and someone who believes that small acts of humanity still matter.
