There are so many things happening!!! Thanks for all the input and interest. ๐
Please double check the names on the first page of who is going and who isnโt. Itโs updated regularly.
We donโt want people getting inundated with messages saying โsee you thereโ if they arenโt going to be able to make it.
Weโre trying to keep information accurate but if itโs not quite right just post it here so we can fix it.
88 Days left!!! I am so so so looking forward to this event. โ๏ธ
I just wanted to say I added this event to the map per your request @sillysassy โค
I am so looking forward to this! And if there is a way to get some cuddles in outside of the meet and greet, I am all for it. If that is ok, that is. If not, I am still super stoked!
@MxSmith thank you for adding this event to map. @sillysassy thank you for always coming up with good ideas ๐ก ๐
@Charlie_Bear yep itโs going to be a great time. Like St. Louis meet and greet where there was gatherings of cuddlers before and after the event there, Iโm sure same will happen here ๐
@OhioMike sweeeeet! I can definitely use all the cuddles I can get ๐ This will also make up for that Saturday Halloween we were robbed of in 2020.
Iโm ready I should be in town
Hooray @TaraGreen Only 12 weeks or 84 days to October 29th. โAnticipation is making us wait โ๐
and @TaraGreen will not be added to the list. ๐ so quick they come and go.....
@OhioMike hahhahahah you are SOOOOOOOOOO right!!! I need some "arms around me RIGHT NOW!!"
โAnticipation is making us wait โ๐
@sillysassy You are banning people from going! ๐ฌ
๐คฃ๐๐ @FunCartel
I DO believe I have a lot of super powers....
BUT for some reason..... I think this wasn't at ALL about me!
Hello everyone and Happy Monday!!!!
It was brought to our attention that some users would like to know if we "VET" anyone who is asking if they can attend the Meet & Greet.
-----EVERYONE from CC is welcome to show up for this event unless they have been banned from the site.-------
We DO NOT employ any vetting process to ensure that the people who are attending are reasonable human beings.
This is going to be held in a public place and if YOU have a desire to meet with anyone in a private space, YOU ARE THE ONE RESPONSIBLE to check into that person and whether or not they will be a good fit for you.
Please check everyone's profile, message each other beforehand, and be mindful of your safety. It is something we care about, but we have NO CONTROL over.
Thank you for your attention in this matter. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.
--------VIVA LAS CUDDLES----------
If I can sneak away from work I'll make an appearance, it would be great to meet all of you.
Getting plane tickets tonight! What hotel should I book?
@sf2010 sneak away ! ๐ (You have been on CC awhile! / Cool! )
@TeaBabe great news! As far as where to stay....there are soooo many options. Are you a rewards member of any kind? If you are, I'd probably begin there.
@TeaBabe Depends. I like staying at the Mandalay because I love to walk and put in several miles every day and the Mandalay is nice and on the strip but kind of at the far end of the strip so not quite as noisy but itโs fun to walk from one end of the strip and back with detours of course. Others like being in the thick of things. You get a couple of blocks off the strip things can get sketchy in some areas but it will be cheaper. If you want to be like the locals, then get a hotel out in Henderson.
@FunCartel Good for you! I love to walk also. Its nice the sidewalks are real wide in some parts. That's a good area to start. I walked from there to The old Sahara back in the day. The strip is what like 4 to 5 miles long one way? So round trip...you're getting the steps in ! ๐
My go to hotel lately there has been the Cromwell. It is small and different but in the middle.
@OhioMike i think I clocked it about six years ago on my IPhone and it was like 4.7 miles in length from the Manadalay to the end of the strip. My favorite walking city is New Orleans though. I never tire of walking that city. It can be humid and hot but itโs like walking through eye candyโthe people, the cultures, the old world mix of architecture, the art, the food, the seediness in areas, the riches in others, and virtually no judgements of anyone. You can let your freak flag fly there and people think you are normal whatever normal is. I say normal is when you walk by people and they look at you and give you the thumbs up to say youโre doing alright.
@FunCartel going down memory lane with you here. lol . One of my favorite cities, Nawlins!
Would start at convention center usually and walk to Bourbon Street all the way to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. (Oldest Bar in America is it's claim!)
@sillysassy thanks for the reminder to do our own due diligence and for taking care of ourselves!!
So does anyone like games as an ice breaker? Thanks to the cuddler category post by @CuddleDuncan I thought it might be fun to play a cuddle themed version of the group game One Night Ultimate Werewolf.
If you are unfamiliar with the game, basically each person is given a card with a role on it. Some are villagers (enthusiasts) some are werewolves (criminal cuddlers), and some are villagers with varying special abilities, such as the seer who knows who all the werewolves are, the apprentice that knows who the seer is, etc - these would be the different pro categories.)
The game starts with a night phase where everyone has their eyes closed and all the set up actions are performed, such as the werewolves and seer finding out who the other werewolves are, the apprentice finding out who the seer is, etc. after the night phase, the game begins.
The objective of the werewolves is to not be discovered as a werewolf and also turn other villagers into werewolves. The objective of the villagers is to survive the night and not get turned into a werewolf. This could easily be converted into a cuddle-themed game. Iโll spare the rest of the gameplay mechanics to keep this from becoming a novel.
Anyway, if anyone had an interest in playing something, I would love to make it and bring it with me to the park!
@Charlie_Bear ~ Go you!! That sounds like it could be a lot of fun!!
@Charlie_Bear that sounds like such a fun idea!!! It reminds me of games we used to play at junior high camp. I LOVE IT!!!
Anyone else who has the ability to bring games to the park? Things like short version board games? Lawn Jenga? (NOT lawn darts as @pmvines might suggest) Corn hole?
I am so thankful there are so many ideas flowing!! What a fun way to think about connecting with new peeps. ๐
(And omg @FunCartel and @OhioMike ๐๐๐ strolling down memory lane. LITERALLY thinking of strolling!!)
Oh my gosh, this is in my area!! I might be able to make it depending on the state of things by then!
@EarthlyAngel003 hope you can make it ! ๐
