@RedFox16 thank you for the context, as I am late to the thread and can no longer see the screenshot that OP posted. Your first comment says it all between the lines, and I absolutely agree with you.
It’s absolutely so inappropriate to lash out at an enthusiast on the site who doesn’t respond the way you wish…especially as an alleged “pro.” I started sending messages to people who peep my profile after a client said others do it, and suggested I do it too. It’s absolutely helped my business here, but I don’t expect any type of response, nor any response at all. It’s just basic marketing, and while I think it’s not wrong for pros to do that, there should never be any type of emotional agenda attached to it. Messaging folks who checked out your profile is like the internet version of warm calling.
I’m a bit shocked to see that type of behavior from a pro, though I shouldn’t be…fragile masculinity being what it is. I’ve had two potential clients in the past month auto-reject themselves before I could even reply because I did not respond fast enough. 😆 Like, Sir, you are inquiring about a service, yet if you don’t get a response within 8 hours you freak out, send some passive aggressive message, and block me. 😆 It’s unhinged. The best way I can think of to describe it is that they are cockblocking themselves…the platonic, over-the-clothes, Cuddle Comfort version of cockblocking. Cuddleblocking, perhaps? That’s extremely fitting. Apparently some people don’t even need another individual to cuddleblock for them: they are so adept at self-sabotage that they ruin any paid or private closeness from another human on their own.
@Rachel_P
You are right. I've often said that people who post in these forums are writing their own karma.
@cuddlefaery I don’t get the impression at all that you aren’t standing up for anything or something of that sort
The sort of entitlement displayed by the person the OP learned about is awful. And learning that women get treated like this with some frequency makes me more hesitant to approach women in real life - on top of the fear of rejection, I’m self conscious about appearing creepy in some way or other and making her feel like that and reducing her desire to engage with society.
I wonder why the OP didn’t want to stay on CC and just ignore the OP, like in real life there are creeps that you have to ignore just like there are going to be creeps on here.
Perhaps she thought this place was different, or perhaps the message interaction itself was enough to want to recluse.
He felt rejected and maybe hurt. You have a great point but he has a perspective even if it's wrong. I'm sure
No. You don’t get to demand a response. This problem is ENTIRELY his and not the OP’s.
@Tigerlilly32 - Just to clarify, my request wasn't that the thread be closed, just that it be carefully watched by the moderators. I agree with you 100% - there's nothing at all wrong with strong emotions or opinions. We're all adults. But at the time I made the request, the conversation was quickly degenerating from strong opinions (which is okay) to name-calling and verbal abuse (which isn't okay). And that's typically the point where a thread quickly stops being constructive and can even begin damaging the community.
Hmmmm Some of these comments don't seem to be helpful to the situation.
I'm late to this and didn't see the picture But from what I gather it does sound like guy felt entitled to a response.
Which is not right. End of story.
I've gotten replies a few days later after sending the message. Not replying within a certain time frame isn't always rejection. Women here got bombarded with tons of messages.
@Jova114 I saw the original message and it was just that, a male pro messaged a female enthusiast, said he was only looking for free cuddles, didn’t get a response after a short time frame, then requested that the OP leave a message that she should still respond if she’s not interested, by responding and suing she’s not interested
Entitlement ain’t cool folks

"Cuddleblocking" .... That's hilarious! And unfortunately oh so true...
@sunnysideup Yeah, last time I checked the Earth revolved around the Sun...not an individual lol
@Jova114 When someone is really entitled, I think they haven’t learned lessons and been taught how things work in a normal way, for whatever reason. Maybe they didn’t play with the other kids at the swing set ? Or did some part of society accept their toxic behavior?
Either they will somehow learn how society works, or they will continue to be rejected by society.
@sunnysideup This is true my friend. The sad part is that it comes at the expense of others, like the OP. Because the entitled guy hasn't learned his lesson, she is punished. While he sees himself as a victim.
When someone is really entitled, I think they haven’t learned lessons and been taught how things work in a normal way, for whatever reason.
In my career I deal with Type A personalities (CEOs, CFOS, and architectural firm partners) and there are a lot of them. Most are very intelligent and extremely shrewd. They live in ethically grey areas and they are very aware of right and wrong and ethics. But they do what is best for them and it has nothing to do with learned behaviors. They just assume the rules do not apply to them…ever. They are examples of absolute entitlement and you could teach them all day long and they would tell you the normal way is their way. You see this from both male and female, and I do not for a minute think they are alone in this attitude. Sad thing is I have no realistic idea how you change someone with that mindset.
@BoomerSpooner That is a very sad thing. That mindset of the rules not applying to them just blows my mind. I can't wrap my head around that ideal.
I can only imagine what the inbox of a woman looks like here. and people complain they are being ignored?
@Sooson Exactly! A woman's inbox on this site, I assume, is always constantly flooded with messages. For someone to think they have priority over others is just....wow
@Jova114 I responded because I thought he might have a question or something to say..
@Sooson Of course. I'm not faulting you. I'm sorry if my comment came off that way.
This stuff just gets to me. I think because I can't actually grasp the concept of thinking you are better or more important than someone else.
There is some weird & unnecessary hostility towards women and an unhealthy amount of toxic masculinity on this forum in threads like these. I can’t imagine what the goal is of these angry little men. At least they are calling themselves out and being honest about their own anger; and then potential cuddlers can see that and make informed decisions about who to see.
@ShaneSchrute I agree. It's alarming the amount of hostility towards women and for no reason other than no giving in to what the guy wants or expects.
I can't even say it's because they didn't have the right role model cause when I was little my dad was a truck driver. So he wasn't around too much. I was raised mainly by my grandma and Lifetime lol
As possibly the most vocal feminist troll on this site for the past few years I have to say I love a good misogynist thrashing as much as the next person (actually 100% more) but this is our community and I’d like to ask a certain person to learn the fine art of forum passive aggression. And before my feminist card is attacked like @cuddlefaery experienced in a previous comment it’s a community and it’s not just the misogynists these kinds of attacks are taking a toll on. So far, I’ve seen a mod laid into on a post he was trying to be kind on, some direct tearing down of others and the community as a whole insulted. If this is “just a job” great. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it but this side of forums are for the community. There is a pro forum for those who are here for the job alone. As someone who has had the opportunity to cuddle a couple dozen people who participate in this space even some I disagree with (you know who you are JP…) this a little unfortunate to watch. We have a good space here even if some things go off the rails sometimes. Disagree…meanly and vehemently if you will but there are better ways. I attack the argument or specific comment when I can and no ones perfect so I have said mean things about members directly at times…the blind rage that’s flying across the forums here lately is productive to no one.
So come after my feminist card if you must but simply remember people who violate TOS aren’t long for this world. I straight up called a member weak earlier and said a few people were still in diapers… delivery is the difference between people taking your point and being sent to time out. Something to think on?
@stormydaycuddle mic has been dropped lol. Thanks for the shoutout
It's a little sad to see that some were sending messages of support for that type of rhetoric though
Oh well, cool down in timeout I suppose
@stormydaycuddle STORMY! STORMY! STORMY!
I got a timeout once... not here. It was in third grade in elementary school.
Don’t we all learn rejection by the time we’re 5 and don’t get chosen for a side to play ball, or go to a b-day party, a sleepover? I’ve been rejected my whole life, and I’ve also been chosen. For those wallowing in self-pity every time you’re not chosen, grow a thicker skin, move on and choose a different perspective! Some Pro’s here could try to be a little more chill and take a breath before getting so upset. Believe me the anger isn’t worth it. So much misery lately, has anyone noticed? So many threads in the Forums devolve into men against women (& vice versa) attacks. Anyway, none of us will appeal to everyone. I certainly don’t and that suits me just fine. And before certain people decide to tag me because they just can’t relate and they’re looking for a fight. Guess what I don’t fight I don’t like conflict and I won’t read your post but go ahead lol.
@carrieanne you’re not getting a fight from me… this time… see my post above. Lol.
@carrieanne I'm tagging you...not for a fight But for a hug. 🤗
I agree. Too much negativity. I try my best to make the good outweigh it though.
@carrieanne looks like one pro on this thread will be taking a few much needed breaths
@stormydaycuddle You are the last person I would call a troll. You care so much and passion for something good and pure is not troll behavior. I call it hope that we can all do better.
Having said that, please open your Cuddle Comfort Songbook to page 198 and sing Kumbaya.
@BoomerSpooner I think baiting can be considered trollish… not that I’ve ever done that… squeaky clean hahahaha.
