I've had the pleasure of knowing LA for a while and can honestly say that the time spent was meaningful in so many ways. She is delightful, funny, sweet, caring, open to listening and just amazing. Even though we didn’t meet, I respect her a lot for being honest and clear about her feelings. It shows she really cares about making sure everyone’s comfortable, just in a different way than I do. It’s a bummer we weren’t on the same page, but it’s really important for both people to feel right about how things are going to work.

From this experience, I learned that it’s okay if not everyone agrees on how to do things. What’s most important is respecting each other’s views and being kind, which she definitely was. I hope she continues to make others feel safe and happy with her approach. And who knows? Maybe I’ll find someone who likes to communicate the same way I do.

In the end, I’m grateful we could talk openly and part ways respectfully. It was a good reminder of how everyone has their own way of doing things, and that’s totally okay.
