I truly hate to do this, but she bailed on our session and is an unreliable communicator. We both agreed to a Friday night session at 8pm where I host. However, by Thursday it became clear the weather might be dangerous (snow/ice). On Thursday afternoon, I offered to postpone if she didn't feel comfortable driving. She responded Thursday night and suggested that we play it by ear, and I agreed.
On Friday morning, I also suggested we could meet earlier than 8 (before the storm) if she'd feel safer. She said that she'd let me know around 4:00 in the afternoon what she planned to do. 4:00 rolled around and she never got back to me. 8:00pm (our originally scheduled start time) rolled around, and she still hadn't gotten back to me.
I messaged her after 8:00 to ask what was going on, and she said she was "updating my grandma & just got caught up," adding, "it’s pretty white over here, I’ve never driven in the snow at night." Never any indication all afternoon or evening that she intended to bail.
To be perfectly clear, I am NOT leaving poor karma because she wouldn't drive in the unsafe weather. In fact, I was openly willing to roll with any weather-related issues, up to and including postponing our session, and I told her directly that I want her to feel safe. My low karma is due to poor communication and untrustworthiness after we both confirmed a session, technically making her a no call/no show.
