I am just joining this community of cuddlers and was a bit surprised that background checks aren't required . . . Any thoughts on how to communicate in our profiles that we are - at least in some tangible way - not sexual predators, violent criminals, domestic abusers etc? Thanks, Jm

First recommendation if you haven’t already, read the pinned discussions at the top of each forum board because there’s so much helpful info provided. The fact that you’ve brought up safety is a good indication of understanding the rules so you can initiate discussion of boundaries. Offering a copy of some sort of ID (work that out with whoever you cuddle with). Others here will offer suggestions. 🤗
I think if someone doesn't know anything about cuddling, they should ask the professional and get all knowledge from them before session. In fact, the best is to ask before any move and get a verbal confirmation from your cuddling partner.
If both of you don't know anything about cuddling, then you should read what professional added in this topic or use online trusted resources.
I think personally if you can differentiate in your mind between platonic touching cuddling and sexual action, then you are in a safe spot.
