Hi, I'm Don. Just to keep it real, despite what it may appear online, I'm a bit of an introvert. Don't get me wrong, I like going out and having fun, but I find my peace and have a more relaxing time just kicking back.
To me intimacy isn't about sex, it's about truth. When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you can open yourself to them, and their response is "You're safe with me" - that's INTIMACY.

I am a Heteroromantic Asexual, who also craves companionship, affection, and intimacy. I have never encountered anyone who was satisfied with platonic cuddling without wanting something more. The more I tried to slow down the relationship and keep it platonic, the more I was pressured to escalate.
I decided to stop dating years ago so I would unintentionally stop hurting others who were obviously looking for something more. With less than 1% of the population identifying as Asexual, I had resigned myself to a life of loneliness, until I discovered this community which has reignited the hope that I might find someone who is comfortable with a no-pressure platonic relationship.
